Cowpoke ramblings 2

I've often wondered in life, the people we meet along our dusty trails

are they mere coincidence or by grand design.

Why is it some people you just walk past them like a stranger in the crowd, where other times you meet randomly you almost feel they've known you your whole life.

Were they reincarnated?

Were they your posse in an alternate world.?

Are they put here by fate or mere luck like a roll of the dice.

The truth of it all is people will come and go out of your life, some great, some not so much.

Life will always take back from us in the end, what it gave us at the start that's just the way it is, that's life

Some effect us right down to the very foundations of our inner core.

Like a jigsaw puzzle that's been mixed with many more, we are searching for all our own pieces that make us a complete picture.

If we are reincarnated does some of our last lifetime memories remain?

At a campfire I sit alone with me hot brew and drink

Watching my surroundings I take my hat off to think

As this breeze caresses my face I wonder to myself

In a strike of a match why was I forced down south

Bridges I've crossed and theres bridges I've burnt

With no malice there's been lessons I've learnt

People I've met who have shown me the way

Helped me more than I could ever repay

Like some people here on this web site we dwell

Friends indeed as we travel on this carousel

Perhaps it's the whiskey speaking out of term

Or life's lessons I'm finding hard to learn

I bid you good night as I spread my bed roll about

Swig my last swallow and put me fire out

Here's to us all on these dusty trails of our universe

Just a mere ramble it's your choice if you want to converse

Very nice and I like the puzzle pieces image. And the line just above it too. Good questions.

I love these thoughts, wonderwall. You know, some say there is no such thing as coincidence…it is all meant to be. Who knows?

Howdy MA7 I thought you’d trotted away to far and distant prairies I am glad you have not, yes at times I do wonder that myself
At times it does seem like it’s too coincident to not be pre planned
Very awesome to see you around these prairies
I’d buy you a round if we were in the saloon but instead I’ll tip me hat and say howdy, always a pleasure mam always a pleasure

Dang cowpoke. I like how you wonder. Different pieces of different jig saw puzzles. All mixed in with our own. Yeah that it all kid. And I think if there be any truth to past and/or future lives. That yes indeed some remnant of them remain with our present one. Also like this site we came together at. I do believe its not all that random here or in life at large. And the good night piece lets this bird know you are one worthwhile ramblin’ cowpoke adrift with the rest of us. Who roam along our own dusty universes. All the more better with a shot or two of our favorite gut rot for a nightcap. Here’s to you wonderwall79, for well worthwhile time. Down the hatch and bottoms up drifter. And then off I go into me own wild dark yonder.

Perhaps I’ve had one too many gut rots for a night cap naaaaah no such thing as too much!
Me whiskey comforts me like a warm summer breeze.
It’s been a great site to just chew the fat, air out my saddle bags to esteemed characters along our prairies.
Yes I get carried away with me ramblings sometimes but alas as long as one noble creature understands then all is not lost in translation
I’ll throw one down me hatch in honour for you black bird actually I’ll make it a double ha..!!
